Frederick Douglass was born into slaveholding in the 1800s and was determined to escape it so he could express his voice and beliefs freely. Douglass was born into slavery. He had a rough  barbarian hood with his mothers death and constant relocating. He was hard worker and was determined to be free. When he was 12-years-old he was relocated to Maryland where he met Sophia, an intelligent white wo hands. Sophia taught Douglass the  root principle and practiced  recitation and writing with him,  even up though it was against the law.  afterwards he was confident in his  discipline and writing skills he planned to escape towards freedom.      When Douglass finall(a)y learned to  determine and  save up he was determined to do something with this knowledge. He practiced reading and writing and also spread the  selective information to other African Americans as he traveled  by his journey to freedom. As time went on and slavery was  non ending, Douglass got sick of the  conduct he had. I   n 1845 he  publish his first autobiography,  history of the Life of Frederick Douglass, an American Slave. The white men and women during that time could not believe that a black  troops could  frame  such an intellectual piece of literature.
